A Friend Should Be Radical, Fanatical, but Most of All, Mathematical (The Friends Series)
Published in Hardcover by Word Publishing (December, 1990)
Average review score:

With a delightful zing, friendship is put simply.Allowing for an easy read and a quick little smile, this brief book holds common ground for all ages. By a friend being mathematical, "he should calculate the need, deep in your heart." Although simplistic, this little line embodies the truth of what a friendship should really be like. As a whole, I find the straight forward pleasantness to be worth trying.

Definitely fun! This book was exactly that..fun! I am buying another copy to give as a graduation gift to my friend who wants nothing more than to travel. It is very informative and not boring like many too-many-details-at-once travel books. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for some different, fun ideas.

A Garden Of WhalesThis book has a terrific story that will transform the reader into this great fanatsy land. The illustrations are top notch, bringing the whales to life. This is a must have book for all little tots. Jennifer O'Connell could be rated among the best of Children's books illustrators. This book has both an excellant story and great pictures.

The Gardener's Essential Plant Guide: Over 4,000 Varieties of Garden Plants Including Trees, Shrubs and Vines
Published in Hardcover by Laurel Glen (October, 1997)
Average review score:

Avid Gardner / Avid ReaderI bought this book several years ago and placed it on a shelf. What a mistake! Out of all my garden reference books, this is the one I now go to first. It is laid out very well. Each plant has a description of foliage, stem, flowers, fruit. Then hardiness, soil req., pruning, sun/shade, Problems, propagation. There are varities of interest and "stick drawings" of the eventual shape along with sizing at 5, 10 & 20 years. There are LOTS of great photos. There is even a great reference section in the back on selecting plants. The only negative is the book doesn't have conifers. I hope the author writes more books!

Garfield and His 9 Lives
Published in Library Binding by Bt Bound (October, 1999)
Average review score:

Nine Lives? NO Nine STARSHaving been a serious Garfield fan from the day I could read, this is by far the best Garfield book. Watching him "grow" from the dawn of time (when chickens had teeth) to a "futuristic" Garfield, is fantastic. He even tries his paws at sleuthing. A definite must read for the Garfield fan.
